When my guy’s laptop died a few month ago, he opted to replace it with an Asus tablet complete with the keyboard transformer. His new toy didn’t seem so safe during its daily backpack commute, so I offered to sew him a nice, padded case – my first sewing project in months! The first time my guy saw me use my machine other than to hem something.
Bright blue heavy-duty cotton canvas and grey felt lining with three layers of quilting batting between them. I did an envelope flap closure with an old backpack fastener and he requested a pocket on the back to hold his other toy (a Kindle Fire) and mobile hotspot device. He loves it and I’m glad his tablet is secure. It’s good to get back into a crafty groove!
